Yesterday, a buddy of mine on Facebook asked what we thought about flag burning. I said, without fear, I don’t like it…but, well, really…is that important right now? This this image was posted…(you might have click it…) and I was vindicated. Folks. We really, really need to stop listening to politicians and the news to find out what's wrong in the world. Common sense should dictate it.

Seeing an Obama Army in Gay Pride Legions - NYTimes.com
Hopefully, you’ve clicked on the article now.
It’s just, well, I don’t know how to respond to this. I can’t help thinking I’d be happier if both candidates had representation at various Pride Events all over the country. I don’t like the concept that we might be manipulated. Thoughts?
Peace and woff….

I’m always not sure if I should before or after the link….so, here’s the link first, prior to my rambling…
Salvation Army Media Relations Director: Gays Should Be Put to Death | Gay Blog | Gay News
Are we really surprised? Okay, so there’s like this writers’ group here where I live. Constantly looking for a place to meet that’s open late. They finally settled on Chik-fil-a-place-that-hates. I don’t really understand how individuals don’t know about that chickenshit hole’s stance on gays and lesbians in the workplace. Actually, I disliked them prior to that. Having Jewish parents, I’m always wary of places that follow blue laws. It means that they feel Sunday is the only holy day-not Friday as it was stated in the Old Testament and followed by Jews and Muslims.
So they’re off by two days as it is.
Now there’s this. I’m still surprised that no one really knows the vitriol this organization still spews. Every holiday I have to explain again and again why I don’t donate them cash.
BTW, I’m using this happy little blog to post things I really want to post on my Facebook page. But I’ve noticed that there are certain coworkers there now, and, living in the Deep South, no matter how much they might need to be a bit more educated, perhaps I need to introduce these concepts slowly, ya know?
Woof!

I thought this was an interesting post. Basically, since you probably don’t wanna waste a good chunk of your life catching up on your Sunday Times readings-that a majority to texts of gay fiction tend to be about doomed love. Think "Brokeback Mountain.”
Makes sense. If art truly reflects life, well, the authors of such books would naturally succumb to that thought process. And as much as I hate it, the fact is, tragedy is tragedy. Hasn’t anyone heard of Romeo and Juliet?
Marriage in Gay and Lesbian Fiction - NYTimes.com
However, with the change of character in our culture, the looming possibility that we can have full equality means the art of our lives will start to take a very, very different turn. Now, me? I’m one to talk. I write horror, mostly, when it comes to fiction. And when it came to any time I wrote queer fiction, the edges tended to be tragic or dark.
Something to ponder.
I’m fine with the change, frankly, but for straights and queers…tragedy always takes the cake, doesn’t it? If it bleeds, it leads, as it were. So the more things change, I suppose, the more they stay the same.
Woof.

Okay, so here's where the reason why I started a second blog. I wanna talk about what's sexy and hot. I noticed something. Something I'm not proud of. Okay, maybe it is just me, but, well--I don't find this video very "hot," for lack of a better term.
I love this little ditty of a song, mind you. I'll include it here below. It defines the summer, like so many other pop tunes of the recent past. I think of California Girls, also done with a queer twist. A hook of a song, totallly non-commital, completely lacking in any kind of depth. Just plain fun. Like a roller coaster.
So? Here's the first video. There's something sad about beautiful people dancing around showing us why we aren't them...
